Hello, and welcome. If you've found your way here, chances are you're either already a runner, or you're standing at the edge of becoming one — sneakers half-laced, wondering if this whole running thing is really for you.
It is. We promise.
Why we made this
LULURUN started in Busan with one stubborn belief: running shouldn't feel like homework. Somewhere along the way, running got tangled up with pace charts, personal records, and the quiet pressure to always be a little faster than last time. For a lot of people, that pressure is exactly the thing that keeps them on the couch.
So we wanted to make a different kind of space. This Journal is where we'll share the small stuff — the unglamorous, genuinely useful, occasionally silly things that make running feel good instead of intimidating.
What you'll find here
- Tips for first-timers — from what to wear to how to breathe, minus the jargon.
- Gentle motivation — for the days when getting out the door is the whole workout.
- Gear notes — honest thoughts on what actually helps a beginner, and what's just noise.
- Stories — from Korea's running paths and from runners just like you.
No 5am cold plunges. No "no days off." Just one idea, repeated as many ways as we can find:
The best run is the one you finish smiling.
Start where you are
You don't need to be fast. You don't need fancy gear. You don't even need to run the whole way. You just need to step outside and move, in whatever shape that takes today.
We'll be here, cheering you on — lulu-lala, the whole way.
Run happy, run free.
